BCBG MaxAzria sells chic women’s apparel, shoes and accessories. MaxAzria moved from Paris to California in the 1980s and created BCBG, an acronym for the French expression “bon chic, bon genre.” In English, it means "good style, good attitude.

Cole Haan carries luxury footwear, accessories and apparel including men’s and women’s shoes, coats, handbags, and gifts.

Eileen Fisher shops feature apparel and accessories for women, plus items for the home, most notably for bed and bath. Ms. Fisher started her business in New York in 1984, with a focus on simplicity of design and quality fabrics.

Sephora is the largest retailer of high-end beauty products, skincare, and fragrances including lines by Fresh, Stila, Smashbox, Nars, Christian Dior and Bliss Home Labs.

Talbots, a leading specialty retailer, is the first name in classic clothing, for misses, petites, and women, and carries high-quality sportswear, versatile career separates, casual wear and special occasion classics.

The Capital Grille steakhouses are known for dry-aging steaks on premises to helping select the perfect wine complements from a list of over 350. The surroundings feature hand-crafted mahogany, plush leather and distinctive art.

The Tasting Room, a wine bar created by John Kent Cooke, has outdoor seating and serves cheese as well as wine. They also sell bottles of wine for off-premises consumption. Mr. Cook owns Boxwood Winery in Middleburg, Virginia and has a branch of The Tasting Room in Reston Town Center.

White House/Black Market, which sells fashion in shades of white and black, was founded in 1997 and was acquired by Chico’s in 2003. They now have more than 300 locations. The stores have been called “the ultimate destination for the little black dress, polished work essentials and everything in between.

Wisconsin Place Community Center

Montgomery County’s Department of Recreation opened the Wisconsin Place Community Center, 5311 Friendship Boulevard, Chevy Chase, in 2009. The new, 20,500 sq. ft. center includes a state-of-the-art weight and exercise room, full-sized gymnasium, two activity rooms, kitchen facilities, conference room and toddler play area. The center is located a few blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro Station, and paid parking is available at a public underground parking facility.

Wisconsin Place Overview

Wisconsin Place was developed by a partnership of New England Development, Archstone, and Boston Properties. This project is comprised of The Shops at Wisconsin Place - 305,000 square feet of retail including a new Bloomingdale’s and Whole Foods Market, the 432 unit luxury apartments Archstone Wisconsin Place, a 295,000 rentable square foot office building, a 1765 space underground parking garage, and a 20,500 square foot community center. The eight-acre site includes a large plaza between Bloomingdale’s and the Metro entrance that is surrounded by retail boutiques and restaurants and focused on a dramatic obelisk and fountain, created by local artist Athena Tacha. Landscaped walkways, graced by two additional artworks by Ms. Tacha, as well as a one- acre park, allow pedestrians to flow through the site to Metro, community center, retail, housing and office buildings.
